About SO.LO. Arts
Our Mission
SO.LO Arts Center & Cultural Playground is a contemporary cultural space in Long Beach dedicated to presenting concept-driven exhibitions and interdisciplinary artistic practices that engage questions of identity, consciousness, and cultural transformation. Founded by curator Vida Patricia Rodriguez, SO.LO operates as both exhibition venue and experimental platform where artists explore the symbolic, philosophical, and social dimensions of contemporary life.
Positioned within the broader cultural landscape of Southern California, SO.LO champions immersive installations and artist-led projects that invite audiences into direct experiential dialogue with art. The program foregrounds practices that bridge visual language, myth, and critical inquiry, cultivating exhibitions that function not only as aesthetic presentations but as spaces for reflection, exchange, and collective imagination.
Through its evolving program, SO.LO seeks to expand the role of the contemporary gallery as a site for cultural exploration and intellectual engagement.
